Most folks do NOT like to see themselves on camera.  We all need to get over that! Why, because YOU are the one that I see when you are not on camera. And I like you just the way you are!

Does it take a lot of time?  Yes, but what are the important things you most want to share?  So, it will be worth the time to collect your photos and your lifetime memories to share with those coming behind to follow in your footsteps.

Don’t be discouraged if you do NOT have a ‘studio’.  You can do this too! Watch this video!

What

What do you give to the person who has everything that money can buy?

  • Legacy Moments are a one-of-a-kind gift for your family, a Video Recording of your life’s stories.
  • This is a history of the older generation for children to know their roots, what life was like for their parents/grandparents ‘way back when’.
  • This is a unique permanent expression of shared memories, values, history and wisdom.

When

Today is the day and the time is now to record your story!

  • When will this be distributed?
  • During your lifetime or upon your death or of a certain individual?

Who

Older generation has a life story that needs to be told and shared with the younger generation.

  • You’ve lived a rich life and desire to record your memories for your family.
  • Who are the intended recipients of your life’s story?
  • Adult children who want the life story of their parents recorded for the grandchildren.

Interview to video record life history stories

Why?

There are some important legacy events in your life that, left un-recorded, would leave you with a sense that life’s business is not yet finished.

One client shared why they video- recorded their story: “for our kids to know their roots told to them by us…”

  • May help heal wounded relationships or clear up some misunderstandings.

  • Can’t keep the story inside anymore – you must set the record straight.

  • Everything about you in your video becomes real: your authentic voice, the look in your eyes, your smile, your emotions, etc.

  • That book you want to write has not happened yet. Video-record your story and get it done!

  • There is no need to worry about technology or finding the time to write a book! Video- recording is easy and it is faster than writing a book!

  • This is a step-up level to ancestory.com where all you get is a database list of names.

  • Next generation will know stories, mannerisms, speaking style, expressions and that their ancestors are not forgotten regarding former generations.

  •  Gift to your family history: memories, wedding, births, anniversary, wisdom, values, special occasions, etc.

What’s Next?

Several ways to do this:

  •  Virtual – ZOOM
  •  In person
  •  DIY – Do it yourself for a family project

Because of Nancy’s ideas and support at Legacy Moments Last Forever, I have created a priceless gift for my family and a legacy for myself. I have documented my life from under four years old to the Covid timeframe, with digitized movies, scanned pictures and slides. I then narrated everything. Thank you, Nancy, for helping me create something that will last well beyond my years.
